Data deletion

How to remove data associated with Hidaya AI. See also the Privacy Policy.

Hidaya AI does not have accounts. Almost everything you use in the app — bookmarks, tasbih counts, saved location, and settings — lives only on your device. The only personal data we keep on our servers is the optional waitlist email you may have submitted on this website.

Delete the on-device data

Uninstalling the app, or on Android going to Settings → Apps → Hidaya AI → Storage → Clear data, permanently removes bookmarks, tasbih counts, saved location, and settings from your device. This is immediate. We cannot recover that data.

Delete the waitlist email

If you joined the waitlist on the website, email support@hidayaai.app from the same address you used to sign up and we will remove that entry.

Anonymous install ID from older versions

Older versions of the app generated a random anonymous install ID, which the app’s Settings still shows. That ID is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal detail, and it is no longer used for anything. If you email the ID to support@hidayaai.app, we will check our servers and confirm there are no matching rows — and delete any we do find. We respond within 30 days, and normally much sooner.

What we never had

We do not collect your name, email (except for the optional website waitlist), phone number, contacts, photos, files, payment details, or advertising identifier. Location is used only on your device for prayer times and Qibla; it never leaves the device.
