Privacy Policy

Hidaya AI (“the app”, “we”) is built to respect your privacy. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your data or use advertising trackers. This policy explains what the app handles and why.

Information the app handles

• Location. Used only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. Your coordinates are processed on your device and stored locally on it. They are not uploaded to our servers or shared.
• AI chat messages. When you use the AI companion, your message is sent to our server to generate a reply (via Cloudflare Workers AI). We do not attach your identity to it. Your chat history is stored only on your device and is never uploaded.
• Anonymous usage count. To enforce the free-tier daily limit, we store a randomly generated install identifier and a per-day counter on our server. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, device contacts, or location.
• Notifications. Prayer-time reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your device.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, names, emails, or phone numbers.
• No contacts, photos, or files.
• No advertising identifiers or third-party ad tracking.
• We do not sell or rent any data to anyone.

Third-party services

We use Cloudflare to host the app’s backend and to run the AI model that powers the chat feature. Messages you send to the AI are processed by Cloudflare on our behalf to return a response. If, in future, donations or subscriptions are added, payments will be handled by a third-party payment provider under their own privacy terms.

Data retention

On-device data (your settings, location, and chat history) remains on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall it. The anonymous usage counter on our server resets daily.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
